Benue State Government has attributed the heightening rate of Coronavirus Infection in the State to increased testing.
It should be noted that as at Monday 24, 2020 the State recorded 21 new infection cases bringing the fugure of infected person to 452.
State Deputy Governor Engr. Benson Abounu who doubles as the State Action Committee Chairman on Coronavirus disclosed this to newsmen yesterday during an interview.
Engr. Abounu said the State has embarked on vigorous testing, stating that more than 400 persons are tested on a daily basis.
He also, said that the State has commenced a testing center at the Federal Medical Center, Makurdi and the Airforce Hospital also in Makurdi, adding that the rate of recovery is put at between 90-95 percent.
The Covid -19 Chairman said those who died as a result of the disease failed to access testing and treatment and urged all Benue resident to avail themselves for testing.
