In order to keep Abuja safe, even in the face of the lingering security challenges in the country, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, has charged residents to always assist relevant security agents with useful information on any suspicious movement, as security is everybody’s business.

The minister, who gave the charge, in a recent statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Sule, recalled that in spite of the daunting security challenges facing some parts of the nation, the Territory witnessed a hitch free Christmas and New Year celebrations.

His words: “I charged you (residents) to always assist the security agents with useful information on any suspicious movement because security is everybody’s business.”

However, the minister assured that all security outfits in the Territory are working together and are more than ever prepared to remain on top of any unexpected security breach.

He therefore charged residents to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another, insisting that “It’s only peace that can usher in genuine development.”
