The National Security Adviser (NSA) Col Sambo Dasuki has donated 22 dogs to the Nigerian Military Police as part of his office efforts to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the service in the fight against insurgency.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minimah, made this known while commissioning a newly constructed block of kernels for war dogs at the Army Headquarters Provost Dog Platoon, Shehu Musa wYar’Adua Barracks Abuja.

Minimah said the army has over 20 military working dogs deployed in the North East theatre adding that the injection of these dogs into OP Zaman Lafiya has yielded dividends in several respects.

He further said the dog section was established as part of the various measures to enhance the operational capacity of the Army in the ongoing counter terrorism campaign.
