Interfaith women mark world peace day with endurance trek

As part of the activities marking the 2014 International Peace Day, the Interfaith Forum of Muslim and Christian women’ Association Mediation Center, Kaduna yesterday organized four kilometer endurance trek  to enlighten and educate Nigerians on the need for peaceful co-existence.

Speaking before the commencement of the walk, which started from the popular levities round about,   the General Coordinator of the center, Mrs. Comfort Idowu-Fearon said the International Day of  Peace is observed around the world on the 21 September which was initiated by the United Nations to strengthening the ideals of peace.

Mrs. Idowu Fearon further said, as women, wives, sisters and grandmothers, their hearts grieved every time they see fellow women subjected to pains and horrors they know nothing about. This according to her steals away their right to peace.
