An Estate surveyor and Valuer ESV Kassim Omotayo Amos said that Investing in real estate is a sure way to financial freedom .
ESV. Amos stated this yesterday in Abuja . He said Estate Surveyors and Valuers are the major key players to give advisory role on real estate as they have requisite knowledge and are trained real estate professionals saddled with the responsibility to manage, supervise interest in land.
He disclosed that Real estate investment can either be residential, commercial, institutional, recreational depending on which of it you decided to invest in.
“You can either invest in real estate as a trading or dealing investment. In real estate dealing investment, you will invest with the aim of receiving income in the form of rents all through the life of the property whilst carrying out periodic maintenance on the property to preserve it in the state that is continuously habitable.”
According to him ,”In real estate trading investment, where you invest in property with the aim of outright disposal or a mortgage system with the purposes of achieving maximum return from the sale. In real estate, return on investment on property is very good and there is capital value appreciation over time.
“ It does not diminish in value and so it is a hedge against inflation. Either of the investments pattern, the purpose is to create an avenue for line of steady income.
However, these forms of investment requires knowledge of the market, type of property, design, locations and amongst others to invest in which will attract prospective tenant or buyer that will be willing to rent or buy the property in good time without being in the market for a longer period”.
The potential investor in real Estate would do well to be guided by a professional Estate Surveyor and Valuer to ensure optimum return on investment.
