The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has urged leaders across board to provide succour for citizens to reduce the sufferings among Nigerians due to harsh economic challenges across the country.
In a statement issued by the National Chairman of IPAC, Engineer Yabagi Yusuf Sani, the Council said leaders should be critically introspect with an honest view of changing a new bleaf by embarking on a pattern of leadership.
In a Christmas message he issued to Nigerians, Yabagi Yusuf Sani said “On behalf of all its members, the National Executive Committee of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, is wishing all Nigerians of the Christian faith, a very merry Christmas and happy celebration of this glorious day of the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
“It is indeed, a source of tremendous joy and cause to give thanks to the Almighty for those of us alive to witness this phenomenal day. It is even of greater source of appreciation for the showers of divine blessings on us given the reality of the inclement economic times and a myriad of social crises pervading the nation’s entire landscape.
“It is the wish and prayers of us in IPAC that, the mercies and blessings of the Good Lord will restore and continue to abide by us, in prosperity and good health with peace, security and harmony reigning across our nation in the days and seasons ahead.
“We wish to enjoin Nigerians to use this very special day in the history of mankind, to reflect and imbibe the salient meaning and essence of Christmas by striving to live their lives in the ways of Jesus Christ and in accordance with the scriptural injunctions on peace and of being “our brothers keepers”.
“More significantly, we are also very strongly calling on the leaders of the country across board, to critically introspect with an honest view of changing a newbleaf by embarking on a pattern of leadership that results in succour and reprieve for citizens against the prevailing excruciating pangs of economic hardships, insecurity and general restiveness.
“We are however, in spite of the haze and stormy whether, optimistic as we pray that, better days lie ahead for the nation.
Happy Christmas”.
