The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has extended its congratulations to former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, on his 64th birthday.
In a statement signed by its National Chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, IPAC described Anyim as a “paragon of patriotism and integrity,” acknowledging his contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development.
Born on 19 February 1961, Anyim has played a pivotal role in the country’s governance, particularly during his tenure as Senate President.
IPAC highlighted his legislative achievements, including the passage of key laws such as the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Establishment Act, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Act, and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) Act.
The council also praised Anyim’s role in deepening democracy through intellectual engagement, particularly at IPAC’s conferences, including the recent event on “100 Years of Political Parties Evolution in Nigeria.”
IPAC commended his leadership, urging Nigerians to emulate his dedication to nation-building. “Together, we will usher in a better and greater Nigeria future generations will be proud of,” the statement concluded.
