The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has expressed deep shock over the death of Emmanuel Osita Okereke, former national chairman and presidential candidate of the defunct African Liberation Party (ALP) and the second elected national chairman of IPAC in Abuja.
In a statement issued yesterday by the national publicity Secretary of IPAC, Agbo Major, the Council described late Okereke as a man of indefatigable endeavour and courage, who contributed immensely in strengthening the nation’s emerging democracy.
“A detribalized Nigerian and bridge builder with enormous political sagacity, his demise is a monumental loss to the political class. We mourn a great patriot.
“Our heart goes out to members of his family and political associates and pray to God Almighty to comfort them in this period of grief.”
