Members of the Yobe state inter-party advisory council, IPAC, representing all registered political parties in the state, led by its chairman, Alhaji Umar Kukiri, has yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the state house to congratulate governor Mai Mala Buni over his victory at the last, 2019 general election and pledged to support him to take the state to the greater height.
According to IPAC chairman, all the leaders of the registered political parties are satisfied with his policies and programmes as displayed in the governor’s inaugural speech, especially in the area of improving the fallen standard of education, establishing health facilities where they are needed among other policy statements of the governo.
In response, the governor who stated that he knows most of the leaders of the political parties, some by their names and some by haven worked with them in some of the political parties, also promised to work with them in furtherance of the work of improving the living standard of the people.
According to him, Yobe suffered most and lost lives and properties in the hand of terrorist and it is time for the stakeholders to join hand in picking the remaining pieces of what was lost and this requires support and cooperation of all the political parties and their members.
He commended them, not only for paying him the visit, but for accepting the election result which made the state the only state that did not witness any pre-election litigation.
