Iran’s IRGC attacks US Fifth Fleet headquarters, airbase

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have struck the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters and a U.S. air base in the region using missiles and drones, in retaliation for American strikes on an IRGC communications tower on Qeshm Island.

Iran also says the U.S. previously hit an Iranian tanker near the Strait of Hormuz, and that an IRGC naval vessel targeted a ship called Panaya in response.

The IRGC warned that further interference in the Strait of Hormuz will bring heavier consequences.
