JAMB Releaes List of 2026 UTME Top Scorers

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of top scorers for the just concluded 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

At its 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions to Tertiary Institutions in Abuja on Monday, JAMB named Owoeye Jesudunsin from Ekiti State, but who sat for the examination in Ogun State, as the highest scorer with 372 out of 400 marks.

According to JAMB registrar Ishaq Oloyede, Jesudunsin, a girl, applied to study medicine and surgery at the University of Lagos.

Her score, however, is lower than the 2025 top score of 375, secured by Anambra-born Chinedu Okeke.

In second place was Ikenna Enwere with 370 marks. The boy from Imo state applied to study computer science at the Nile University, Abuja, while Ayomide Bamisile of Ondo State, with 369 marks, was the third overall best nationwide.

Bamishile applied to study software engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State.
