The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be able to print their Original Result Slips within two hours on Wednesday.
The board said the document, which serves as a key requirement for admission processing, contains candidates’ photographs, national rankings and several security features aimed at preventing forgery and ensuring official recognition.
JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja, stressing that the Original Result Slip would play a crucial role in post-UTME screening and admission exercises across tertiary institutions nationwide.
According to him, candidates can conveniently print the slip using any internet-enabled device or through accredited business centres.
Benjamin urged candidates to carefully scrutinise all information on the document immediately after printing to ensure accuracy and avoid complications during admission processing.
He also advised candidates to keep the slip safe, noting that it remains one of the most important documents required throughout the admission journey.
The development is expected to trigger a rush by thousands of candidates seeking to secure the official document as universities, polytechnics and colleges of education begin preparations for the 2026 admission cycle.
