The National Chairman of Jama’ atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’ ikamatis- Sunnah JIBWIS, Ash- Shiekh Abdullahi Bala Lau has decried the high rate of unemployment in the country saying that it is getting to alarming levels.
He further advised government at all levels to step up to their responsibility by providing job opportunities for the teaming youths in the country.
Lau raised the alarm in an interview in Kontagora after attending the Walima of the wedding of the son of Voice Of America reporter Alhaji Mustapha Nasiru Batsari at the weekend.
He attributed joblessness and unemployment rate to lack of adequate concentration on the provision of skills acquisition schemes, empowerment and engagement as well as lack of education hence resulted in to perpetual poverty and hardship that demanded for a change.
He emphasized that begging is forbidden in Islam and must not be encourage to strive in the society hence parents must take responsibility of their wards just as he called on the clerics to be self reliant and collectively put an end to street begging in Nigeria.
The cleric advised the youths to get married and avoid involving in sinful activities like fornication and adultery however charged parent to be moderate in conducting marriages by reducing its expenses so as to ease and encourage youths to get married at the right time.
He urged Nigerian leaders at every level to be honest, fair, uncorrupted as they would continued to pray for their success in office and have the wisdom to serve the citizens accordingly.
The event witnessed a lot of dignitaries within and outside the state just as a baby boy was delivered at the Walima ground and named after the National Chairman Abdullahi Bala Lau that received various donation for the naming ceremony immediately.
