The Jigawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Polling Units Agents Forum released a statement on December 3, 2025, expressing profound appreciation for outgoing Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.
The statement, signed by Hon. Abubakar Gumel, MBA, CT, CPA, Chairman of the Jigawa State APC Polling Units Agents Forum, highlighted the minister’s “exceptional leadership, visionary guidance, and remarkable contributions” to the party at both state and national levels.
The forum recalled that the former Minister Abubakar served as the Regional Coordinating Chairman (North) of the APC’s 2023 Presidential Campaign Council.
His intellectual direction, political strength, and organizational acumen significantly bolstered the party’s mobilization efforts across Northern Nigeria.
The statement emphasized that his strategic input was crucial in securing “massive votes” for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election.
The agents noted that under his leadership, the APC in Jigawa State experienced “unprecedented political stability,” with grassroots structures—party agents, ward mobilizers, and polling-unit operatives—remaining active, motivated, and united.
Beyond the political realm, the minister’s humility, accessibility, and “fatherly approach” endeared him to party members.
His investments in human capital development, empowerment programs, and initiatives focused on youth and women have left a lasting legacy.
The forum reaffirmed its “total loyalty” to Minister Badaru Abubakar, pledged ongoing support for his political direction, and declared its readiness to uphold and sustain the structures he built across Jigawa and the wider North.
It concluded with prayers for Allah’s protection, good health, and continued success in his future endeavors, affirming that his legacy will continue to shape the APC and inspire young party members.
