The members of the Jigawa State House of Assembly during their plenary on Wednesday, passed a confidence vote on Governor Umar Namadi.
The lawmakers also endorsed governor Malam Umar Namadi to run for second term, rating him as the best performing governor in the state.
The development is coming against the backdrop of the recent mass defections across the major political parties in the state, notably the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the main opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
