Jigawa Collage of Legal Education gets new provost

Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi, has approved  the appointment of Dr. Jummai Ali Kazaure as the new Provost of the College of Education, Legal and Islamic Studies, Ringim.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.

Until her appointment, Dr. Jummai served as a lecturer at the Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel.

She holds a Ph.D. in Administration and Planning and possesses extensive teaching experience across all levels of education, from basic to tertiary. Dr. Jummai is recognized for her significant quality supervision and valuable interdisciplinary collaboration.

“Dr. Jummai has previously held roles such as Director at the Government Girls State Unity Secondary School, Kazaure and Director at the Government Arabic Secondary School, Babura. Her commitment to academic leadership and community service is well noted” the SSG said.

Similarly, Governor Namadi has approved the appointment of Hassan Nayaya as the new Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State Education Resources Agency (JERA).

“Before his new role, Nayaya served as the acting Executive Secretary of the Agency. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Bayero University Kano in 2000. Nayaya’s journey in the Jigawa State Ministry of Education began as a classroom teacher in 1992, and he successfully rose to the position of substantive Director (GL 16) in 2020”, the statement said.

Malam Bala Ibrahim explained that, the appointments are part of the Governor’s commitment to enhancing educational leadership and infrastructure in Jigawa State.

The statement added that, the appointment of the appointees is based on merit, competence and personal integrity.

“While congratulating the appointees it is hope that, they would work hard to justify the confidence reposed in them and put in their best towards the development of the State”.
