Jigawa flag-off distribution of 49,000 packages of CACOVID palliatives

The Jigawa state government has flag-off the distribution of local government’s CACOVID palliatives.
The flag-off distribution of the palliatives that took place at Dutse local government secretariat will continue across 27 local government in the state.
While speaking shortly after the flagging-off, the state head of service and chairman palliatives committee Alhaji Hussaini Kila said, about 49,000 people will benefit from the palliative across the state.
He explained that, the 49,000 packages of rice,sugar,indomee and spaghetti was donated to Jigawa state by the Coalition Against Covid-19 (COCAVID) in Nigeria.
According to him, state government received and distributed about 150 trucks of another palliatives from federal government.
“From today the distribution of this palliatives is commenced across the 27 local government under the supervision of traditional leaders, media and Civil society organisations to ensure justice and transparency in the distribution” he said.
While making his remarks at the occasion, the acting chairman Jigawa state Covid – 19 Task force committee Dr Salisu Mu’azu said, twelve people will benefit from each polling unit.
He then assured more state government support for the well-being Jigawa citizens.
