No fewer than 10,000 less privileged including women were registered for an empowerment packages to reduce poverty and promote wealth creation in Birninku/ Buji federal constituency of Jigawa state.
The empowerment program was initiated by the member representing Buji/Birninkudu federal constituency and chairman house committee on power, Hon. Magaji.Da”u Aliyu.
In his speech, at the official lunching of the programme held in Birninkudu, Hon Magaji stated that, the aims of the programme was to complement the effort of federal and Jigawa state government on social security.
He said, the beneficiaries of the empowerment will be selected from each of the 276 polling units in his constituency.
