The Jigawa state police command has arrested a suspected cattle rustler and drug dealers in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Shiisu Lawan Adam.
“In line with the policing strategies of the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Dahiru Muhammad, aimed at combating crimes and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state, the Command has recorded another remarkable breakthrough.
“On 23/10/2025, at about 1703hrs, Police operatives attached to Hadejia “B” Division, while acting on credible intelligence, intercepted one Idris Muhammed ‘m’ age 35yrs of Babbar Ruga, Malam Madori LGA, along Turabu–Hadejia Road, in possession of three cows suspected to be stolen.
“During the course of investigation, the suspect confessed that the cows were stolen from Kukareta, Matti Local Government Area of Yobe State, by one Kaura Dillali, who is currently at large.”
Corp Marshall of the Commission, Shehu Mohammed made the disclosure at a press conference in Yola on Monday, stressing that it is an annual tradition of the Commission to intensify campaigns on observing traffic rules and regulations on the roads.
Represented at the Conference by the Adamawa state Command’s Sector Commander of the Commission,Abdulmalik Bello Dama, Mohammed announced that on the facts findings by the Commission, drivers are largely responsible for vehicular crashes due to lack of adherence to traffic regulations.
