Jigawa spends N7.2b on construction of 318 kilometre feeder roads

The Jigawa state government had spent over N7.2 billion on construction of feeder roads from 2015 to date.
This was announced by Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar while commissioning of Kanya Babba – Duzau – Goron Maje feeder road in Babura local government area of the state.
He added that, the Kanya Babba – Duzau – Goron Maje feeder road was constructed at the total cost of N512 million before its completion.
The Governor who was represented by commissioner for works and Transport Engineer Aminu Usman Gumel explained that, the 318 kilometre of feeder roads constructed across 27 local government area of the state.
He added that an approximate of 1521 kilometre of tarred roads were also constructed by the state government within the same period to give access to rural communities.
The Governor also commissioned Sada -Kanawa to Kuda feeder road in Yankwashi local government constructed at the cost of 393 million naira as well as Kazaure – Fanda – Sabaru – Galilu to Karkarna feeder road which gulfed over 572 million naira.
He then reaffirmed the commitment of his government to continue providing the dividend of democracy to the people,
