The National Commission for Colleges of Education has expressed satisfaction over the facilities inspected at the temporary and permanent sites of the Proposed Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), College of Education in Jos, the capital of Plateau State.

Speaking after the inspection in Jos, the Commission’s Deputy Director Department of Academic Programme, Mr. Vitalis Uji, who led a seven man delegation to the proposed college, commended the laboratory, library and ICT center of the college, adding that the administrative block of the college was a good design, saying that with what the delegation inspected, the college will get the desired approval.

Mr. Uji said: “We have given them advice on the minimum standard requirements; the permanent site at Zaria road has the conducive environment for learning, and if they can fully develop it, that will be alright.”

Those in the seven men delegation are; Professor Umar. T. Muhammad, Sam Ugwuoti, Uko I. Uko, Mrs. Lami Dutse, Musa Garba and Mary Bako from the NCCE headquarters Abuja, as well as Colleges of Education Dutse Jigawa state, and that of Katsina Ala in Beneu State respectively.

However, the registrar of the College, Malam Ahmad Garba, who took the team round the different sections, said the management of the school was satisfied with the level of inspection by the NCCE, stressing that hopefully before the subsequent inspection, in June 2015, other required facilities will be made available.
