Jubilation as NSCDC Commandant General, Audi, Gets Tenure Extension

Date:

There was widespread jubilation across the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) following the extension of the tenure of its Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

The development has been welcomed by stakeholders who see the extension as a vote of confidence in Audi’s leadership and the reforms recorded under his administration.

Reacting to the decision, the National Coordinator of Stand Up Nigeria, Mr. Sunny Attah, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as a well-deserved show of trust in the NSCDC boss.

Attah noted that the tenure extension reflects the President’s confidence in Audi’s capacity to strengthen internal security and institutional professionalism within the Corps.

He further assured Nigerians that the NSCDC, under the continued leadership of Dr. Audi, would not disappoint in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities, particularly in the protection of critical national assets and the maintenance of internal security.

According to Attah, the extension will boost morale within the Corps and enable the Commandant General to consolidate ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and national security.

The tenure extension has continued to attract positive reactions from within and outside the security community, with many expressing optimism that the NSCDC will further deepen its contribution to national peace and stability.
