Kaduna community reconstructs abandoned culvert to check floods

The U/Maisamari Community in Malali District of Kaduna North Local Government Area , has called on the state government to come to their aid through reconstruction of drainage, culverts and roads that have been a threat to the society.
The call was made by the chairman of the community service, Mr Jakada Joseph Dauda.
While commissioning a culvert that was reconstructed by the community members as a self-service project.
He said that, the project became necessary so as to save themselves from the challenges they encounter especially during rainy season.
He explained that the culvert is a connection to many busy roads into the community which has been abandoned for a long period.
He commended the community members for their immense contribution towards the success of the project.
Mallam Jakada Joseph call on the State government to contribute towards reconstructing other culverts and drainages to save them from flood and day to day activities.
He added that the previous Government of PDP has promised to intervene but to no success as well as the present Government which he said is still not yielding any positive result since the first four years tenure is gone.
While interviewing some community members they showed their appreciation towards the project and promised to do all they can to contribute towards reconstructing some other culverts.
