Religious and traditional leaders in Kwaru and U/Yero communities of Kaduna North local Government Area and the Kaduna State Command, led by the Commissioner of Police , Ahmad Abdurrahaman have held a crucial meeting to brainstorm and strategize towards ending crisis in troubled communities.
Our correspondent reports that the monarchs and religious leaders vowed to fish out perpetrators of the recent communal violence that left two people dead during the meeting held at the instance of the Police Commissioner..
The leaders who were invited to discuss the crisis expressed dismay over the unfortunate incident.
The meeting was attended by JNI and CAN leaders, district heads and village heads within Kaduna metropolis.
The CP tasked them to cooperate with the effortS the Kaduna State Police Command is making to ensure peaceful coexistence among the diverse groups and to curtail crimes within the state.
He enjoined the leaders to talk to their youths on the need to eschew violence and live in harmony with one another.
The Commissioner of Police assured the leaders that, the Kaduna Police Command under his watch will ensure that justice prevail and all the perpetrators of the recent violence at Unguwan Yaro and Kwaru will be fished out and brought to justice.
He further said all the black spots and other criminal hideouts in the command will be raided on daily basis.
All the leaders in attendance pledged their support to the command to ensure that lives and properties of the citizens are protected and hoodlums are not allowed to incite violence in Kaduna.
