Kaduna Electric assures Improved Power Supply to Rigasa Communities

The Chief Technical Officer of Kaduna Electric, Engr. Bello Musa, has assured communities in Rigasa of improved power supply as the faulty transformer feeding them has been fixed.
Engr. Bello disclosed this to representatives of the communities at an interactive session at the Rigasa Area Office today
The 15 MVA transformer which was vandalised and 70 drums of oil siphoned is set to be back in circuit in the coming days.
The communities affected include; Hayin Rigasa, Asikolaye, Sabon Gari and Makarfi Road. The communities had been on load shedding since the unfortunate incident.
He said to reciprocate the gesture, Kaduna Electric expects them to pay their bills promptly and report miscreants who vandalize electricity equipment to the nearest security authorities.
He advised them to take advantage of the Meter Asset Provider Scheme by registering to get metered and also explore the possibility of becoming franchisees once the regulation is approved by NERC.
He said Kaduna Electric was not averse to dialogue with its customers and commended the peaceful manner with which the representatives conducted themselves.
He assured that Kaduna Electric will continue striving to ensure its customers get qualitative services which he however said dependend largely on the cooperation it receives from all electricity users.
