The Ninzo Professionals Association yesterday kicked against the abrupt resignation of Hon. (Mrs.) Comfort Amwe from the Executive Council of Kaduna State as Hon. Commissioner for Women Development barley six months into the office in other to seek elective post.
The association stated this in a press statement released in Kaduna by its National President – Joel Mathew Aku, which argued that the unexpected resignation from the cabinet of Governor Muktar Ramalan Yero without prior consultation with her community is an affront on the good people of Sanga Local Government Area.
Citing her rumored aspiration for an elective political office as responsible for her sudden departure, the Association queried “why would Mrs. Comfort Amwe accept her nomination to serve as Commissioner few months ago only to resign her appointment a few months later if she knew that she was interested in seeking an elective political office?”
“Mrs. Amwe should have declined the offer for Commissioner position and pass the baton to other persons interested in service to the state knowing full well that her departure would create a void that might hardly be filled by her own people” the statement added.
The Association therefore, called on the good people of Sanga local government area to be aware of desperate politicians and remain cautious as the 2015 electioneering campaign gathers momentum.
The Association consequently, urged the state governor, H.E. Ramalan Yero, to urgently name Mrs. Comfort Amwe’s replacement in order to fill the void created by her departure.
