Kaduna state Police Command has paraded seventy one suspects linked to various criminal offences in the state.
The Commissioner in Charge of the state Command CP Ali Aji Janga disclosed this during his maiden press conference held in Kaduna yesterday.
CP Janga disclosed that the seventy one (71) suspects belong to different suspected criminal gangs that have been terrorizing citizens of the state, are now in the police custody.
The breakdown according to him includes ; ten suspects for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery and kidnapping, thirteen suspects for criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, mischief by fire, inciting disturbance and causing grievous hurt, two suspects for criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide, seven suspects for criminal conspiracy and theft.
Others are twenty three that were also arrested for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, thuggery, illegal possession of firearm and having in possession of illicit drugs, four suspects for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, thuggery and unlawful possession of dangerous weapons, six suspects for criminal conspiracy, vandalization, theft and receiving stolen property, five suspects for criminal conspiracy, public nuisance, smoking in public places and belonging to the gang of wandering brigands and one suspect for criminal conspiracy, shop breaking and theft, criminal conspiracy, armed robbery and kidnapping CP Janga assured that under his watch the command, he intends to intensify efforts in fighting crime while at the same time respecting the fundamental rights of all individuals and upholding the principle of zero tolerance to corruption, impunity and indiscipline for successful democratic governance in line with the ideals of Kaduna State and the Federal Government of Nigeria.
