Kaduna State has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its health system for resilience and sustainability by hosting the 13th Kaduna State Council on Health with the theme; “Global Health Security: Strengthening Health Systems for Resilience in Kaduna State.”
The three-day policy meeting, scheduled from October 8 to 10, 2025, at Murtala Muhammed Square, Kaduna, brings together critical stakeholders from across the health sector, intending to review and address emerging challenges, and chart strategies to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The committee comprises policymakers, local government health authorities, academia, development partners, civil society organizations, professional associations, and the media.
The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, represented Governor Uba Sani at the opening session.
She emphasized that a strong and resilient health system is not a luxury, but a lifeline.
