Kano emirate tussle: Don’t allow anybody violate court orders, APC chieftain tells Tinubu

Date:

From Mustapha Adamu, Kano

Chairman of Arewa Media Group, AbdulMajid Danbilki Kwamanda, has cautioned President Ahmad Bola Tinubu against allowing anybody to hide under state law to violate court order that stopped the reinstatement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Kwamanda, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kano, said Monday that what the Kano State Government is doing in violating the Federal High Court order stopping the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi ko was rather setting a bad precedence that would consume everybody.
“We cannot, understand why the people that celebrated and used court to maintain their Government, will now stand firmly against a substantive court order that stopped them from carrying out illegality”.
Kwamanda stated that politics aside, “the insistence that the reinstated Emir must stay and continue parading himself as the authentic Emir of Kano, has violated the rules of law and constitutes a threat to the nation’s constitution and general wellbeing.”
To this end, the former President Buhari’s political associate called on the attention of Tinubu to as a matter of urgency intervene for peace and stability to continue to reign in the state.
“Although, I’m a politician, but honestly this time around politics aside, there is great danger in what Kano State Government is doing, the Court injunction must be respected to allow peace to reign.
“Why is controversy is associated with the reinstated Emir Muhammadu Sanusi ko? look at how he was booted out of government by former President Goodluck Jonathan, look at how he was removed and the reason why he was removed, now are you returning him to continue anarchy in Kano or what?
Kwamanda urged Tinubu to act accordingly as a leader that respects rule of law, saying “you should not allow this bad precedence be set during your tenure. You should ensure that everybody respects the law by stopping the reinstatement.
