The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Kano State Governor, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa has pleged to ensure a harmonious working relationship between him and members of the Kano Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ in the state.
This was as he promised to give the newly inaugurated leadership of the Chapel necessary support in smooth running of it affairs.
Dawakin-Tofa made the promise during a courtesy visit on the leadership of the chapel.
He emphasized that journalists were integral to the New Nigeria People’s Party’s (NNPP) struggle to attain power, and therefore, it was essential to support them in order to succeed.
He stated, “I will personally and officially do everything within my power to ensure the smooth running of the Correspondent Chapel. I mentioned ‘personally’ because some matters may not require bureaucratic processes to be resolved.”
The Chief Press Secretary expressed optimism in the leadership of the chapel, stating that “with the Chairman’s impressive track record and experience, the Chapel will make a difference.”
On the other hand, the Chairman of the Correspondent Chapel, Aminu Garko, pledged to work closely with the government to promote its policies for the benefit of the state.
