The Kano State chapter of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) has asked its former Chairmen who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to return vehicles allocated to them during their time in the party.
The demand was made by the party’s Kano State Publicity Secretary, Engr. Ibrahim Karaye, while addressing journalists at a press briefing.
“These vehicles were given to support party activities and improve coordination within the local government areas,” he said.
He described the continued possession of the vehicles by the former chairmen as a violation of trust, stressing that the donation was made to the NNPP as an organisation.
“The Senator donated the vehicles to the party, not to individuals,” Karaye stated.
He warned that the affected former chairmen are expected to return the vehicles without delay.
He added that the party would not hesitate to pursue legal action if the directive is ignored.
