Katsina lawmaker empowers 1000 constituents with N100m

A member of the federal House of Representatives, representing Katsina Local Government federal constituency, Alhaji Salisu iro Isansi has empowered 1000 small business owners in his constituency with working tools and start up business capital.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Isansi said the support was part of his effort to make women and youth in the area to become self-reliant.
He noted that each of the beneficiary will collect a working capital of N10, 000 each which he said will enable them to start their chosen businesses.
The lawmaker disclosed that the empowerment initiative was designed and executed in collaboration with SMEDAN.
He pledged that he will continue to execute programmes that will continue empower people in his constituency, adding that improving his people’s economic status.
Isansi advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the capital to uplift them and their families out of economic predicament and become self-reliant.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of SMEDAN, Alhaji Dikko Umar Radda noted he was able to empower 5000 people from Katsina State through his empowerment initiatives.
Dikko commended the lawmaker for providing positive representation to his people by initiating programmes that will uplift them and take them out of poverty.
