The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward Congress committee in Katsina State, Alhaji Bello Dantata, has disclosed that the party had successfully conducted ward congress in 361 wards across the state.
Briefing newsmen shortly after the conduct of the exercise yesterday, the committee chairman further disclosed that the party guidelines were strictly adhered to during the exercise.
He noted that all interested members of the party were given equal opportunity to contests adding that the election was done through open ballot system which, according to him, was transparent.
Dantata added that for the proper conduct of the exercise, his five man committee divided itself into three where he said each group monitored the exercise in each of the three senatorial zones of the state.
