Katsina SUBEB distributes N400m instructional materials

The executive chairman of Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Aminu Danbaba, has disclosed that the state government had purchased and distributed infrastructural materials worth N400 million to the state’s primary schools.

Danbaba made the disclosure yesterday, while speaking at the launching and distribution of instructional materials and school bags procured by the state government and commissioning of Fatima Shema Girls Science Model Primary School, in Katsina.

The chairman further disclosed that the model school was part of the China Assisted School development programme which, according to him, includes three states of Akwa-Ibom, Abuja and Katsina.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Executive Secretary of the National Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Dikko Suleiman noted that Katsina state is one of the few states supporting primary education in the country.

In his remark, the state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shema enumerated the many achievements recorded by his administration in the area of education, which he said include free education policy, paying for NECO, WAEC, NABTEP fees for secondary school students in the state.
