The former Kebbi State governor, Alhaji Saidu Usman Nassamu Dakingari, has appealed to the Fulani Association of Nigeria to hasten in collecting their members’ PVC, in order for them to vote wisely for the APC Government in the state and Nigeria at large.
This was disclosed yesterday at the one day Fulani interactive season held at Presidential Hall, Birnin Kebbi, adding that Fulani was known as a cattle breeders in Nigeria not persons causing crisis in the societies.
He explained further that there is need for Fulani to embrace peace in the communities, saying, “This present administration has done a lot for Fulani people, most especially on the resettlement of their new villages, provision of portable drinking water and providing Western education.”
Dakingari said that based on the gestures given to Fulani by this present administration in the state, the only way to reciprocate is to vote the present government back to office for the second term.
In his response, the Kebbi State Governor Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu commended the Fulani association for maintaining peace in the state, and assured them of more commitment from the state government towards developing their villages.
He said further that over forty nomadic education centers have been established across the 21 local governments in the state, and promised to establish more in order for them to have Western education and reduce farmers and Fulani clashes.
Delivery his speech, the National President of Mayyeti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Mohammadu Kiruwa, thanked the Kebbi State governor and President Muhammadu Buhari for the advocacy for peace within the Fulani associations in the country.
