From Ahmadu Idris, Birnin Kebbi

The Kebbi State Governor-elect Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu has appealed to all traditional rulers in the state to eschew all forms political differences and support his incoming administration, in order to move the state forward.
In a statement signed by the SA media to the Governor elect Ahmed Idris and made available to newsmen yesterday while addressing the District Head of Aliero, District head of Danwarai and others who paid him Sallah homage at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi.
The governor-elect said the plea became imperative in view of the critical role of traditional institutions in facilitating smootg governance.
While assuring that his administration was ready to welcome everyone who wish good for the state, Idris promised to operate an open door policy to give all a sense of belonging.
“It was not a hidden fact, not all traditional rulers supported my election, however, that is not my concern. My aim is who has love for my state, who can support me to make Kebbi State a small London.
“I want to use this medium to thank you and your subjects for the visit, I do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure more commitment toward supporting the traditional rulers in the state,” he said.
He then appealed to them to support his administration to take Kebbi State to greater heights of development.
In his remarks, the District head of Sabiyal in Aliero, Alhaji Umar Dodo said they were in Government House for a Sallah homage as well as solidarity visit to the governor-elect.
“We are here to rejoice with you on your victory at polls, we supported you and we are going to support your administration to succeed,” he assured.
