Kebbi Governor Holds High Level Security Meeting
The Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Nasir Idris, has convened a high-level security meeting with heads of security agencies at state and local levels, local government chairmen, and vigilante groups to address emerging security challenges in parts of the state.
Briefing journalists after the meeting, the Commissioner for Home Affairs and Internal Security, Hon. Haliru Wasagu, said the meeting chaired by Governor Idris and attended by key security stakeholders, was aimed at reviewing, fine-tuning, and strengthening the state’s security architecture to ensure a more coordinated response to security threats.
The governor told the meeting that the government remains committed to safeguarding the lives and property of the people of Kebbi state and would intensify efforts toward maintaining peace and security across the state.
He said that the administration is also fully committed to supporting all security agencies in their efforts to tackle and eliminate security challenges across the state.
Idris also appealed to the residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information that will assist in identifying and apprehending criminal elements.
The government commended the dedication and professionalism of the security agencies in maintaining peace, stability, and public safety in the state.
