Kebbi govt. distributes 183 vehicles to NURTW, NARTO on loan

The Kebbi State Government has distributed 183 vehicle’s on loan to the National Union of Roads Transport Worker (NURTW) and National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) in the state.
Presenting the vehicles to the beneficiaries at Haliru Audu Stadium Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State Governor Atiku Abubakar Bagudu said that the gesture is part of his campaign promises to the union, assured them of his administration’s commitment towards reducing poverty in the state.
He explained further that the loan was in collaboration with the Bank of the Industry, BON, while the state government is to stand as a guarantor between the two parties to ensure the pay back of the loan.
He admonished the beneficiaries to be proactive in ensuring the safety of the vehicles and be law abiding citizen to the road users.
Also in his remark, the National President of the NURTW, Nagim Usman Yassin commended the efforts of the governor for the loan, assuring him off their support and cooperation towards achieving his visions and goals.
He said that Kebbi State Governor is the first governor that will assist the unions across the country.
