Kebbi State Governor, Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu has said that a committee has been setup to commence investigation on the killing of two innocent Fulani herdsmen by six vigilante group in Fakai local Government area of Kebbi State.
He stated this yesterday when he paid a condolence visit to the families of the deceased to ascertain the truth of the matter, adding anybody found quilty will be brought to the book and punished by the government.
He commended the efforts of the families for not taking any drastic measures on the issue, express dismay over the act.
“The government would take the necessary appropriate measure to deal with those involved in the interest of justice,” he added.
He further urged the people not to take law into their hands while the people living in the state most avoid taking law into their hands.
He also requested all groups and communities in the State to leave in peace and harmony with one another in the spirit of brotherliness and nationhood.
“I promise to provide basic socio economic amenities to the Fulani settlement and other areas such as drinking water, health facilities, school and agricultural inputs to uplift the well-being of the inhabitants” he said.
