Kidnapped cleric, others regain freedom in Katsina

A famous Islamic preacher based in Kano, Malam Ahmad Sulaiman that was kidnapped with some of his colleagues along Kankara/Sheme road in Katsina State has regained their freedom.
The famous preacher and his colleagues spent about 13 days in the kidnappers den before they were rescued by a joint patrol military team.
The leader of Izalatul Bid’a group in Katsina state, Shaikh Yakubu Musa Hassan said the victims were released without paying any ransom.
He noted that the victims were at the time of filing this report on their way to Kano to meet their families.
Sheikh Hassan added that the victims while on captivity had faced series of threat from their abductors. He thank Allah that they returned unhurt due to intensified prayers by family and associates.
