Kogi Govt declares 2 days mourning for fire victims

The Government of Kogi State has declared a two-day state mourning in honour of the victims of the Felele tanker accident on Wednesday 23rd September, 2020.
In a statement signed by the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, said the Governor and the Government of Kogi State are saddened by the unfortunate incident that claimed many lives in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
He pointed out that the people are the state, and as such, the primary responsibility of government is to ensure the safety and well-being of the Kogi people, adding that as a result of the importance placed on the lives of the people, the state government has declared a two-day state mourning to honor the departed souls.
