In order to improve the socio-economic growth of Chukuku community in Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the chairman of the council, Hon. Ishaku Shaban Tete, has been urged to build a market in the area.

According to the District Head of Chukuku community, Ishaku Sarkin, who made the appeal, urged the chairman to drill boreholes for the people at the grassroots level, so as to boost access to portable drinking water.

The monarch, in a recent interview with newsmen in Chukuku, appealed to the chairman to accelerate ongoing work on the healthcare centre project in the area.

He further called on the chairman to provide basic necessities of life for the people of the community, to enable them feel the impact of the present government of the council.

Equally, Sarkin bemoaned the invasion of farmlands by the government, saying it has brought a lot of hardship for the farmers as they do not have enough land to cultivate again, pleading with the chairman to do something about it.

While calling on both Muslims and Christians in the area, to continue to live in peace with each other irrespective of their religious inclinations, he said that his leadership would continue to be loyal to the leadership of the area council.
