The Executive Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has refuted recent media reports accusing him of attempting to disenfranchise residents, clarifying that his comments were taken out of context.

Addressing journalists and local stakeholders on Wednesday, Shekwolo clarified that his remarks—made during a recent meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) youth members and loyalists were intended strictly to address local administrative efficiency, community welfare, and political engagement rather than to marginalize any group.

Shekwolo affirmed that his office holds no authority or intention to violate the fundamental human rights of any citizen or resident within the council area.

“In recent days, certain statements I made were taken out of context, leading to a distorted narrative that does not reflect my true intent, core values, or the official position of this administration.

“Our administration remains fully committed to inclusive governance, equity, and the total progress of every community in Kuje Area Council,” Shekwolo stated.

Addressing the public, the Council Chairman urged residents regardless of political, religious, or ethnic backgrounds to remain united and support local development initiatives.

He also called on media organizations to uphold journalistic standards by verifying the context of political statements before publishing, reaffirming his council’s commitment to open dialogue and constructive feedback.
