The chairmanship aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon. Usman Jiya, who won the party primary conducted on the 25th of July, 2025, has urged his supporters to remain calm pending the outcome of the result from the national body of the party.
Jiya, who made this known while speaking to Peoples Daily correspondent at his campaign office in kwali on Tuesday, called on the leadership of the party to demit it necessary to revisit the issues surrounding the primary election.
He disclosed that the congress conducted on the 25th of June 2025, he got 24 votes to defeat the present speaker of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Nuhu Daniel who has 1 vote from Pai ward.
“We are not Part of the kangaroo primary election conducted in kwali to declare the Honorable Nuhu Daniel as the candidate of APC in Kwali’’, he stated.
Jiya said we would continue to be law-abiding citizen of the party, and charged his loyalists to be patient.
Also speaking, the former vice chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Jibril Zubairu Yewuti, expressed joy the manner at which the masses came out during the congress to vote Jiya.
