The National Coordinator of the Southern Mandate, Comrade Ikonomwan Francis, a group working for Kano State governor, has said that his principal, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, will never return to his former party, the People Democratic Party (PDP).

PDP’s national secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo, recently said that he would ensure both Atiku and Kwankwaso return back to the party they left in August 2014 during the special convention of the party in Abuja.

But speaking in an interview with journalists yesterday in Abuja, Comrade Ikonomwan said his group will continue “to assure Kwankwaso that we will ever stand by him in his quest to fix this country again.”

He said: “The alleged return of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the PDP is an instrument they wanted to use to rubbish his hard earn political career. Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is no doubt a great man of integrity, he has rejected Peoples Democratic Party in totality, therefore can never be seen in PDP again.

“Kwankwaso can never be like some politicians who usually eat their vomits like dogs. He left nothing in the Peoples Democratic Party that he is going back to collect in the party.

“He has held virtually all political positions, it is only that of the Presidency that he has not; will Goodluck Jonathan shelve his ambition for Kwankwaso to take over or will he now drop his running mate and pick Kwankwaso? Certainly, PDP has nothing to offer Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.”

The group leader believed that the exit of Gov Kwankwaso from the PDP has created a big vacuum that is difficult to fill by any politician in PDP.
