Kwara APC adopts direct primary

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara state said it would adopt direct primary in electing its candidates for all elective offices as directed by the national executive committee (NEC) of the party.
The Ishola Balogun – Fulani led executive of the APC said it arrived at this decision at its meeting held in Ilorin, the state capital yesterday.
In a statement issued by the state acting Publicity Secretary of the party, Dele Kayode, the APC assured all aspirants under its platform a level playing ground.
The statement reads: “This is to inform all members of Kwara state APC that after the meeting of the executive and stakeholders today, Monday 3rd September, 2018, at the party secretariat, the following resolutions were unanimously adopted.
“That direct primary will be adopted for the party primaries as directed by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.
“That all aspirants for the elective offices should come offer to the party secretariat at No. 29, Agba road, GRA, Ilorin for further briefings.
“That level playing ground is guaranteed for all aspirants”.
