The Kwara state government has order Primary and Secondary schools in the state to resume next Monday, September 22, 2014.

It could be recalled that the national body of teachers, the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) had directed members not to resume classes until their demands on control of Ebola Viral Disease (EVD) were met.

The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development,Alhaji Saka Onimagi in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulfatai Adeniyi Kazeem asked all schools to provide basic hygiene materials including washing bowls, soap and towels.

The commissioner also said that two teachers from each school in the state have been directed by the government to undergo training on Ebola Prevention, adding that the programme would commence as soon as the Federal Ministries of Health and Education provide necessary facilities.

He also announced that new school fees of N750 per term had been fixed for Senior Secondary schools, N500 for Junior Secondary and N250 for primary schools in the state.
