Labor Party guber candidate promises rebirth of Benue

Labor Party, LP has promised a rebirth of Benue State through infrastructural transformation.
Governorship candidate of the party Dr. Paul Angya who made the promise yesterday in Makurdi at the flag off of Labor Party campaigns for 2019 election, decried over dilapidated infrastructural decay, socioeconomic issues, decay in educational system as well as non functional industries and lack of jobs.
Dr. Angya said he will redeem the State by embarking on digital agricultural system and generate electricity to power industrial revolution of the Food Basket hub of the nation.
“The welfare of the people especially workers will be our priority. Labor party is a party with the biggest structure which is the worker. We will end the era of marginalization of workers and misapplication of State resources. We will rather, engage all segments of the society including workers, students and market women in governance”, he promised.
The one time acting Director General, Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON who hails from Vandeikya local government area frowned at the zoning of governorship seat in the State, averring that it breeds mediocrity.
According to him, clannish and primordial sentiments should be jettisoned and urged contestants to the seat to come with experience and vision on how to uplift the lives of the people.
“I urge our supporters yo be steadfast and not sell the future of the State to pittance. Labor party is bound for victory and glory. We will take Benue State out of the pithole of poverty,” Angya vowed.
National Vice Chairman, Labor Party, North central said the party is on a rescue mission of the State and so, decided to present a competent administrator per excellence in Dr. Angya to fulfil this objective.
During the event, flags were presented to all candidates of the party contesting for various elective positions including a former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Comrade Kris Atsaka.
