The Lafia School of Health Technology in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State yesterday graduated 150 students in various field of health related disciplines offered in the institution.
Principal of the school, Alhaji Isa Idasho, disclosed this in his address during the graduation ceremony set aside for the graduating students in Lafia, even as he appealed to all level of government across the country to assist the institution by way of subvention to attain its goal of nurturing the needed manpower in the health sector.
According to the principal, the students graduated in the Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) offered by the school which are all accredited certified by the various bodies shouldered with such responsibilities.
He gave a break down of the graduates and their disciplines to include, 11 graduates in pharmacy technician, 81 in dental surgeon technicians, 8 in medical image technicians, 12 in image medical assistance, 17 in environmental officers and 19 in health information technician among others.
The institution’s head continued that all its graduates from the HND level of studies participate in the one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme of the federal government without hitches.
