Lalong signs 2020 budget, wants effective implementation

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State yesterday signed the N177bn 2020 appropriation bill into law.
The Governor also directed heads of Ministries Department and Agencies (MDAs) to cooperate with members of the Plateau State House of Assembly in the discharge of their oversight functions, thus to pave way for speedy and effective implementation.
According to him, “I have the joy and singular privilege to perform this very crucial assignment of signing the 2020 appropriation bill into law.”
Mr. Lalong thanked the leadership of the house for giving the 2020 budget a greatest sense of priority
He however, expressed confidence that the budget has fully incorporates the three pillar policy of peace, security and good governance which his administration heavily campaigned on.
Lalong stressed that internally generated revenue (IGR) is crucial to meeting the targets of the 2020 fiscal year.
